YWAM Victoria Falls mission is to empower and inspire people to be active followers of Christ. Getting to know God and making Him known through acts of love: impacting communities through development, training and equipping for fulfillment of the great commission.As a people we are holistic in our approach moving people towards Gods’ intentions. We are serving the city and the surrounding villages doing works of community development. Reaching the in more practical ways, be it visiting and praying with sick, reaching out to the orphanages, helping with agriculture , or bibles studies in curios market, building toilets and teaching appropriate technology to lessen the burden of the poor, the list goes on and on.

 

Our heart desire is to see transformational work of God in the community we serve as well as in the lives of the short term teams that come along side us.

 

Training

 

Our philosophy of training is “live-learn,” recognizing that learning doesn’t just take place in classroom lectures, but also through serving, living in community, one-on-one discipleship, small group discussions and more. Together we eat meals, seek God, live in a variety of shared housing, and are constantly strengthened by the gifts and experiences of others. Simultaneously, we value the individual, seeking to empower, equip and show worth to each person, so no one gets lost in the crowd.

Our ministries empowers locally-focused initiatives to international works that make it all possible. As a mission, we believe it is implicit in the gospel that everyone on earth has the basic right to hear and understand the message of Jesus Christ. We are committed to Christ's command to preach the gospel and make disciples. We believe that The Good News brings real transformation to lives, communities and nations.
